Seiko x Naoki Sakai Brightz Anata SAEC013 from 2011 (Box and Papers)

For sale is a Seiko SAEC013.

The Seiko Anata SAEC013 is a product from the collaboration with the renown Japanese industrial designer Naoki Sakai.

The watch is a limited edition with a total of 1000 pieces offered for sale.

Named the "NS_Concept" watch, the designer hope to impress on the owner the importance of "Measurement" in a generation where many information is simply displayed with no importance placed on the process of measurement.

The Seiko Anata SAEC013 is used by the designer to portray how an instrument not only display time but precisely measure it too.

The SAEC013 is unlike any watches ever produced from Seiko. The watch dial and movement are sandwiched between 2 sapphire crystal and held only at 4 points so as to allow light to pass through the other areas to create an illusion that the dial and movement are floating between the crystal.

In order to achieve the effect of floating, a 46mm case is used to create the space needed between the dial and the case.

The Seiko Ananta logo and indexes from 5-35 are marked on the underside of the top crystal to strike a contrast against the sunken sub-dials, applied indices, and little cut outs on the dial.

Red is added to the underside of the retention ring to give the watch a touch of vibrancy to the all-black watch.

Being a watch from the Anata collection, the watch case is well finished with multifaceted lugs and a mix of polished and brushed finishing on Seiko's proprietary hard black coating.

The watch case in in immaculate condition with close to no signs of usage seen. The watch dial and hands are free from any signs of aging. The crystal is free from scratches.

The watch comes with its original unused strap, box and papers.
