Seiko Lord Matic Special LM 5206-6060 from 1971 (Serviced)

For sale is a Seiko 5206-6020.

The watch features a highly sought after linen dial that is complemented with a fine brushed case.

The word "Special" printed on the dial is no marketing gimmick. Vintage Seiko watches with the word "Special" printed on the dial signifies a higher standard of regulation on the movement of the particular calibre.

Produced by Seiko's Daini factory, the 52 series calibres are high end automatic watch movement produced as their last attempt in winning the competition against the Suwa factory.

Even though the Daini factory is no longer around, the innovation of 52 calibres continue to live on in Seiko's 4s calibres as seen in Credors and alpinist series.

The calibre 5206 also features instant date change that is rare for a watch of this price.

The watch is in near NOS condition with little signs of usage seen other than minimal hairline scratches seen on the crystal and case. Light aging can be seen around the LM logo which is hardly visible to the naked eye. The watch was serviced in November 2020 and is ready for prolong usage before the next servicing is required.

The watch comes on its original LM signed bracelet.
