Seiko Lord Matic Special 5216-7080 from 1974

For sale is a Seiko 5216-7080.

With a duo facet above both lug area that separates the left from the right side of the case, the 5216-7080 shares this similar trait with the Grand Seiko 6185-8020.

The attention to details on this piece goes right down to the end links of the bracelet. The midsection of the end links is lifted just enough to meet the unique faceted lug area to form a undisturbed flow from the case to the bracelet.

The attention to details is carried on to the multi-textured multi-gradient blue dial . The details on the dial is just incredible, the lenticular printing (or technology similar to it) used on the dial allows the different shades of blue applied spring to life as the watch is viewed from different angles.

No expense was spared when detailing the indices. The substantially-sized multifaceted indices are polished throughout with ribbed texture on the side facing the centre of the dial.

All these goes on top of a “breeze” like pattern beneath the printing, creating a truly immersive experience when viewed.

The watch is case is in well worn condition with scratches seen across it. The watch dial and hands are in mint condition with no signs of aging seen. A brand new crystal has been installed for clarity.

The watch comes on its original bracelet that features an extender with with flexible extension that stretches according to the size of the wrist.
