For sale is a Seiko 5126-8130
In the year 1968, Seiko launched multiple sports and dive watches with striking red lollipop hands, blue dial and minute markers.
The success of those watches encouraged Seiko to take it to the next level in 1969. The vibrant colours went on to hands, indices and lumes.
Collectors were also greeted with different styles of minute markers with the rally style being the most popular.
The 5126-8130 features a muscular cushion case with brushed top and polished sides accompanied by a checkered bezel that is more commonly known as "Rally Style".
Azure blue paint is applied to both the hands and indices to give the watch a beautiful contrast over the matt black dial. A dash of or age is also applied for the second hand, further enhancing the vibrancy of the watch.
Powered by the automatic calibre 5126, the display of black date disc and silver day disc blends with the overall aesthetic of the dial. The calibre 5126 also features a cool. Party trick where a single push of the crown changes the date instantaneously.
The watch case is in well worn condition with scratches seen across the case. The lume on the bezel is noonger present due to aging. Signs of aging can be seen on both the hands and dial. A brand new crystal has been installed for clarity.
The watch comes on a matching aftermarket bracelet that fits up to 8.25" wrist.
