Seiko 2220-3420 from 1975

For sale is a Seiko 2220-3420.

The 2220-3420 features a full brushed tonneau case that contrast against the alluring Kira-zuri dial.

Many might be fimilar with the term Kira-zuri due to the US 2018 Limited Edition (SBGA387, SBGA385 and SBGA384).

Grand Seiko talks about the Kira-Zuri dial in the following excerpt :

"Inspired by a Japanese painting technique called Kira-zuri, true to its translation “sparkling painting”, the lustrous dial takes a life of its own. Commonly found in ukiyo-e paintings to create texture to the background of Kabuki actors, the inspired technique adds depth and excitement to the timepiece in movement and light. "

Powering the watch is the 24 Jewels calibre 2220 that beats away at 28800bph. The absence of seconds hand also allow the watch to have a cleaner aesthetic.

The watch is in immaculate condition with little signs of usage seen other than common hairline scratches seen on the side of the case.

The watch comes on its original bracelet.
