Grand Seiko 4520-8000 from 1968

For sale is a Grand Seiko 4520-8000.

Following the success of the calibre 45 and 4502, the calibre 4522 and 4520 were produced and used within a few variant of Grand Seiko.

The 4520-8000 features the highly sought after "Grammar of Design" that can be seen across different Grand Seiko.

Powered by the calibre 4520, the 36000bph manual winding calibre allows the watch to sit well on the wrist with a thickness of 9.5mm.

The absence of date display for 4520 allows the watch to have an extremely clean and symmetrical aesthetic. The absence of the date display also allows the 4520-8000 to have an identical appearance to the highly sought after 4420-9000.

The watch case is in excellent condition with common signs of usage seen. The watch dial has aged beautifully with unique striping seen. The hands are free from any signs of aging. Light hairline scratches can be seen on the acrylic crystal. Light aging can be seen on the letter "O" on the medallion. 

The watch comes on a brand new handmade top grained leather strap.
