For sale is a Credor 6730-5090.
The watch features a sharp brushed rectangular case with high polished bevels to create contrast and depth.
The watch case is further accentuated by a 14k solid gold bezel to give the watch a softer look and a touch of elegance.
The case is made of hard alloy case (SHA) with a Vickers Pyramid Number (HV) around 700. Those who collect vintage watches might be aware of the hardened stainless steel (HSS) used in 6156-8010 and multiple quartz watches. Watches made of HSS are often found in incredible near mint condition attributed to the hardness of the HSS case.
To put things into perspective, HSS has a HV score of around 450 while the SHA has a HV score of around 700,making the SHA about 50% harder than HSS.
Needless to say, watch cases made of SHA withstand the test of wearing better than those made of HSS.
The dial is kept clean with minimal printing with just the Credor logo printed without Seiko at the bottom.
Powered by the ultra thin calibre 6730, the watch sits low and well on the wrist.
The watch case is in immaculate condition with minimal hairline scratches seen. The dial and hands are free from any signs of aging. The crystal is free from scratches.
The watch comes on a brand new handmade top grained leather strap.
