Cartier Santos Galbee Chronograph 2425 Circa 2000 (Serviced by Cartier)

The fruit of friendship and the need for a practical way to tell the time while flying a plane; the Cartier Santos is probably the only watch from Cartier that can rival the popularity of the tank.

Multiple variants were produced throughout the years with the Galbee collection receiving extra curves for gentility.

The variant offered for sale here is a Santos Galbee 2425.

The dial is finished in off-white with the Cartier's notable blued hands that complements the 7 facets sapphire crystal embedded in the crown.

Powered by the quartz chronograph calibre 222 the watch has a simple chronograph function and an interesting time setting mechanism. The hands advance an hour each time the crown is turned at the first position while the minute hands advance in small steps when the crown is turned at the second position.

The watch case and bezel is in immaculate condition with minimal signs of usage seen. The watch dial and hands are free from any signs of aging. The crystal is free from scratches. The watch received a full servicing from Cartier in November 2022.

The watch comes on its original bracelet that fits up to 7" wrist.
