Grand Seiko SBGX089 (LE 500 Pieces)

For sale is a Grand Seiko SBGX089.

Nicknamed the "Grand Seiko Milgauss" for the it's antimagnetic property and the double red text at the bottom, the SBGX089 is a 500 pieces limited edition that features a brand new case that appears to be a combination of the 62GS and the 44GS case.

The watch case receives its 62GS DNA for its flat top case and angular lugs and the extended mid section between the lugs from the 44GS.

Moving on to the dial, we are greeted with a flat black dial with an eye catching red GS logo that is only made for the double logo antimagnetic series. Double red text are also printed at the bottom to highlight its antimagnetic property.

Being the only reference to be limited edition for the antimagnetic series, the watch features gold printings on the dial ring at 5 minutes interval and zaratsu polished gold second hand that balances the contrast of the black dial and red elements on it.

The watch then receives a sports watch treatment with brushed top and lumed indices, something exclusive to Grand Seiko sport collection. Screw down crown is also used for additional water proofing.

Measuring 38. 8mm in diameter and 11mm in thickness, the watch wears well on most wrist size as compared to other Grand Seiko from the sport collection.

Powered by the high accuracy Grand Seiko calibre 9F61, the absence of date on this calibre makes the watch more symmetrical than the common used calibre 9F62.

The watch is in excellent condition with hairline scratches seen on the bezel and side of the case. The watch hands and dial are free from any signs of aging. The crystal is free from any scratches. The watch comes on its full bracelet, box and papers.

The watch comes on its original bracelet.
