For sale is a Seiko 7M22-6A50.
The Seiko calibre 7M22 is the world's first quartz watch to be powered by electricity generated by wearer's motion through an oscillating weight.
Initially branded as "Automatic Generating System" (A.G.S), Seiko eventually rebranded the technology as "Kinetic" which is currently still being used in their current production.
Seiko did not hide their pride with their new innovation with all the word "Automatic Generating System" displayed on the bezel of the Seiko 7M22-6A50.
The Seiko 7M22-6A50 offered for sale here is the most sought after reference of them all that echos the design of an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak.
The variant offered for sale features an understated grey sunburst dial that contrast against the "Automatic Generating System" branding printed in bright red on the bezel. The bright red colour is also carried onto the seconds hand and A.G.S branding on the dial.
The watch case is excellent condition with common hairline scratches seen. The watch dial and hands are free from any signs of aging. The crystal is free from scratches. A brand new capacitor was installed in July 2022.
The watch comes on its original bracelet that fits up to 6.5" wrist.
