Longines Conquest 9020/18 from Circa 1960 (Serviced)

For sale is a Longines 9020/18.

The birth of the Longines Conquest collection is from the company’s pursue of a watch that encompasses both the sports and elegant element in it. The popularity of the vintage Conquest collection explains Longines’s move to do a reissue of it in 2014 to commemorate their 60th anniversary.

This particular example from the 60s is a prime example that displays all the charm about the collection. The 9020/18 features an alluring silver sunburst domed dial that is decorated with stick and talon indices. The style of indices used across the vintage Longines Conquest line really helped inject a touch of sportiness to the otherwise simple sunburst dial.

The watch is then completed with Longines winged hourglass logo instead of printed version on the older models. The face of the watch is then completed with a pair of simple sword hands that is loyal to the overall elegant yet sporty theme.

Cased in a classic circular 35mm case, the extended faceted lugs allows the watch to fit bigger wrist, despite measuring well below 40mm.

Finished with an interesting green and gold enamel medallion on the back, it is evident that no effort was spared when this watch was designed.

Serviced and regulated on October 2018, this watch is ready to be worn for a prolong period without any complications. The case and the dial looks immaculate with the original faceted lugs still looking sharp. With many weathered examples out there, the mint untouched enamel dial that have survived the test of time really makes this 9020/18 a true collector piece.
