Grand Seiko Special 6155-8000 from 1971

The 6155-8000 is a unique reference with calibre 6155 being the only vintage Grand Seiko calibre to be used in a single variant (only 6155-8000/8001 uses the calibre 6155). 

The 6155-8000 adopts a elegant design for its face with a flat white dial with petit minute markers that does not clutter up the dial. Thin stick hands have also been used to complement the thin indices that further enhance the the clean aesthetic of the watch. 

The calibre 6155 is the date only sibling of calibre 6156. The absence of day window further enhance the sleek aesthetic of the 6155-8000.

At the time of production the Calibre 6155 were regulated to ±3/per day (surpassing chronometer standards). 

The example offered for sale is in an immaculate condition with only one light spot seen around 2 o clock. The case is also in a mint condition unpolished condition other than some common hairline scratches seen. The watch crystal has also been replaced for extra clarity. 

The watch will come on a brand new handmade top grained leather strap.
