Cartier Santos Carree 2961 Circa 1980

For sale is a Cartier 2961.

The fruit of friendship and the need for a practical way to tell the time while flying a plane; the Cartier Santos is probably the only watch from Cartier that can rival the popularity of the tank.

The Carree collection came before the Galbee with sharper lines. The 2960 offered for sale here features the classic Roman numerals and "Rail-track" minute scale finished in blue to match the hands and 7 facets sapphire crystal embedded in the crown.

The usage of the Cartier automatic calibre 077 (ETA 2671 equivalent) allows the watch to have a slimmer appearance as compared to the larger sized ETA 2824.

The watch case and bezel is in excellent condition with common signs of usage seen. The watch dial is in immaculate with very faint signs of aging. The watch hands are free from any signs of aging. The crystal is free from scratches.

The watch comes ita original bracelet that fits up to 7" wrist.

Serial number has been covered for privacy.
