Cartier Basculante Tank Circa 1990 (Serviced by Cartier)

For sale is a Cartier 2405.

Designed 2 years after the JLC reverso with the same purpose of protecting the dial and crystal while playing polo, it is hard not to see the Cartier Basculante as Cartier's own Reverso.

The Cartier Basculante is however not a Reverso wannabe with a different flipping mechanism and a totally different design.

The Cartier Basculante 2405 was made in early 90s as an homage to the original Castor Basculante and were offered in a few variants.

The variant we have for sale here is the bigger version 2405 as compared with the smaller 2386.

The watch case is in excellent condition with common hairline scratches seen on the case. The watch dial and hands are free from any signs of aging. The crystal is free from any scratches.

Serviced and pressure tested by Cartier in 2021 the watch is keeping good time and is suitable for daily usage.

The watch comes on a brand new handmade Epsom leather strap.

Serial number has been covered for privacy.
