Citizen Recordmaster Chronograph from 1967 (First Variant)

For sale is a Citizen Recordmaster Chronograph.

The Citizen Recordmaster Chronograph is the first chronograph to be produced by Citizen with production starting from 1967.

Many compare the Citizen Recordmaster Chronograph with Seiko's Monopusher Chronograph from 1964 as both are manual winding chronograph with the lack of minute counter subdial.

It is however worth noting that the Citizen Recordmaster Chronograph powered by the calibre 5702 is a column wheel flyback chronograph with an additional pusher situated at 4 that allows the user to reset the chronograph without stopping it first.

Multiple variants were produced throughout the years and the example offered for sale here is the first variant with slim chronograph second hand and "Recordmaster Chronograph" engraved on the case back.

The watch features a black crosshair dial that boast great legibility thanks to the contrasting white paint used.

The utilitarian case is paired with a highly favored beads of rice bracelet that hugs the wearer wrist comfortably while providing great ventilation.

The watch case is in excellent condition with common hairline scratches. Light signs of aging can be seen on the the indices of the dial and hands which boost the watch utilitarian aesthetic. Minimal hairline scratches can be seen on the crystal.

The watch comes on its original signed bracelet that fits up to 6.8" wrist.
